One of these special products from Scotland is called The Claymore blended Scotch Whisky and traces a history all the way back to 1890, produced by A Ferguson & Co of Glasgow. The word “Claymore” means “great sword” in Gaelic, an ancient Scottish two handed sword used by the Highlanders.
The Claymore blended Scotch Whisky is aged between four to five years in strictly selected barrels. This maturation imparts its special character and created the beautiful mahogany color of this Scotch.
